August 8-14, 2010 Vacation Week, YAY!

Yayz ~~I've been brawling all day, there is no news, no HG/SS, no EotS, and Pallet Town is a worthless place to go.~~ Actually I was brawling all day. XD It is vacation week for me which means I'll be gone all week. Unlike last year though, I have a laptop and Internet access so I will be able to check in, essentially meaning I'm only restricted from uploading. Oh, and this time Majorasfan isn't going with me, unfortunately. XD Oh yeah, one other thing, I'm switching over to weekly updates because daily updates are too much effort. XD Site News For the week, because of my absence, Raichu and Kyo have been made temporary admins with restricted admin abilities (actually Elite Mods have admin abilities but they'll just be less restricted in a sense.) This has been done like last year just as a safety precaution and they will return to regular Elite Mods in a weeks town (although they will be the final 2 of the 5 admins of this site when the time comes.) Hinata has also been made moderator to replace MegaGible and most likely Junior Mod elections will return. As for site news, I was trying to get the arcade to work the other day but failing miserably so that will still be a while. Basically this week will be an unproductive one so yeah. YouTube News In regards to CONJOPI, the threat is not gone but despite this, I will resume uploads on August 15th. Little news has come in since the last update other than Chugga has been unsuspended. Much larger in news is I've become part of the NinBuzz channel (might I add I'm the most popular member apart of this because Chugga declined due to being part of Machinima). Although I'm a part of this, I still actually don't know much about it other than I'm part of it. XD NinBuzz is a Nintendo styled Machinima channel (I should probably check to make sure I'm spelling Machinima right but I'm too lazy to.) My involvement of it will be most likely older games and smaller stuff. I still will continue my main schedule on my channel. Any videos uploaded to NinBuzz I get paid for but thanks to SpitFire, there may be hope of me getting YouTube partnership. But that would be a long and difficult process. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them, but please post here rather than PMing me as checking PMs is what I want to least do on vacation. Don't forget #SaveChuggaa Surprisingly today we have site news and not really any YouTube news. XD Site News Yay for some new stuff. Not that there is much to report but three notable things worth mentioning. For starters, Pokemon tourney 1 has been set up by tainers. Most likely we'll set up the first brawl tourney in the next few days as well. There is still room to make some improvements to things but we're working on getting the league fully running. The most note worthy thing to mention is we finally have rank pictures for all Pokemon ranks up to 500 posts, all the Mario, CT, and most of Smash Bros ranks finally installed into the forums. Castlevania is being worked on at the moment. Trash or Qwerty, if your reading this, contact me about finishing up some of the ranks. The last thing to note is we installed a new arcade game. Nanaca Crash, probably an all time favorite of your SS staff. <3 It was the only game I could install cause it was the only one I had the files already on the server. I have to contact Amir to see if we can get more games to work. Unfortunately, that may be a few days. YouTube News The past few days have been fairly dead on the current LP suspension crisis. I still remain strikeless. And to my knowledge, nobody has been suspended in the past 3 days. It may be a possibility that YT might have started fixing things but I don't want to start making assumptions cause then I'll wake up suspended. As of yesterday though, a new false flagger group appeared with the name of ISOPHS. They claimed to have trained CONJOPI. JubilifeTV and Gian seem to be their targets. As usual, I will keep you updated. As of today, I plan to start editing and filming again. I will resume uploads on August 1st (or sooner) depending on the situation of the suspension crisis. I figure there is no sense in not uploading if the situation fails to improve. In addition, I plan to make an August update early because I recently have completely reworked my walkthrough schedule for the next few years and I need some feedback. I can already tell you though that Platinum and EotS aftergame (excludes graduation) has been canceled and Emerald will most likely never see videos either in the aftergame due to time constraints. (Aka, there is no change from yesterday's update so read that.) YouTube News If you have not read yesterday's update, you probably should. The current LP banning situation has finally hit me. I have recently found one of the members of the group involved with suspending accounts (and was the one who got Chugga it seems) who has claimed that they think they'll go for me next. I also know Proton Jon, Marriland, and HCBailly seem to be big targets at the moment. Gian has also become a recent target and already has strikes and my affiliates Clone and Cat333Pokemon still seem to be big targets as well. At the time of posting this update, I have no strikes. If there is another update today or at any time, it will probably be providing information that most likely revolves me receiving strikes. Check my Twitter, I will be retweeting any ~~good~~ links from Chugga and Zelda Universe and I also highly encourage you guys to keep up with Chugga's Twitter as well as Zelda Universe's Twitter. Read all the links above, they all provide good information or visit Zelda Universe as well, they have been keeping the situation well under watch. Please lend your support to the LP gaming community of YT in any way you can. Contact YT, support Chugga and the others who've been suspended, write an article. Every little bit helps. Doesn't it make you glad to hear their voices again? Between forums, videos, and a possibly suspended YT account, isn't life just swell. Site News Site news is slow today. I've had some discussion with Clone Charizard and in a few months time, we might be switching our vB version. I also need to work with him later on fixing our arcade so we can install games. Amir has gotten the bidoof rank picture to work thus meaning we can make them all work. The Pokemon and Smash Bros ranks will be put in over the next 24 hours, the rest still need to be made. I want to look into installing a tournament bracket add on into the forums so Rai and tainers can have an easier time running the forums but I have to research the add on. We may or may not have a day for site construction coming up just for some internal fix up. This is simply because now that the forums have experienced people here, that may require us to fine tune some settings but it wouldn't be nothing drastic you'd actually notice. As usual, the suggestions thread is open, we still need suggestions and feel free to make a topic giving us feedback as well. Also on a completely random side note. I've noticed a lot of topics that are what is better, this or this (or this, ect). These are topics that would also be good to have a poll attached. Polls are part of the forums, so make good use of them. It would help make the results of some topics more organized. YouTube News If you haven't watched the video above, I'd recommend you do so. Obviously the big news still on everyone's mind is the state of our YT accounts being suspended. I've thus put a halt on all uploads for at least one week at the moment till we can get a better grasp on the situation. Zelda Universe contacted me today so I will be keeping in touch with them as well as Chuggaaconroy and other various popular LPers to keep you updated at all times on status of our accounts being banned. Datai's account is the most recent suspension I've heard of. I've also recently found out Clone Charizard has two strikes against his account. I've heard from AuroraVirus that putting your channel on hidden and putting all videos to private protects you but honestly, all the time I'd spend doing that, it'd be just as easy to get suspended and counter claim. Amazingly, my name hasn't been put on this list (Somebody apparently made a fairly detailed page on me there, more detailed than Marriland's at least) but I've heard countless people tell me Marriland and I are big targets so I can't say I shouldn't be on that list. However I have been to one of the people's account who's been flagging people and he doesn't have me on the list of targets either. I'm not going to say I'm safe cause I know I'm not. I think being the second most popular LPer left standing sticks a pretty big target on my back. Apparently the story has also made it to CNN and YT will most likely start feeling the heat quickly so hopefully I can make it long enough to avoid being suspended. If you want my honest opinion on the situation, these people think that they're causing trouble getting our accounts suspended, but honestly, I think the result of this will just be a stronger LPing community. I've been in contact with people I've never even talked to before because of it. Phoenix Project = Win Welcome to the NEW SS FORUMS!!! Ugh, been sick the past few days. I slept 36 straight hours only awake to eat and use the bathroom. That's more sleep than I probably got the entire rest of summer. XD Site News For starters, let me start with the 10 things I put up the other day and the status of them. Country Flags (for profile) They will not be added. Apparently the coding is too advanced for CC to want to bother with. Thread Description (would appear below title in the forum) Already implemented. Limit Poll Option Choices when being allowed to pick several options. Still not put in, but we'd like to put it in. Facebook Style Status Some sort of Twitter thing, I have to look into it. We have not come to a conclusion. Paypal Donation (We probably will put this in) Getting there. Auto Image Resize Separate Sticky threads from Normal threads Maybe Usergroup Color Bar Legend Already in. Rotating Avatar (An avatar that can rotate through several images) Tricky and CC doesn't feel like putting it in. Now onto other site news. I'm gonna start with the SS Wi-Fi league. Raichu and tainers are working on putting that together and soon we're going to start running weekly tourneys. They will go to monthly after August because of school. Next matter is the arcade. Unfortunately, there has been some issues putting in games. We MAY have to install a new arcade that will work better. So it might not be in your best interest to beat my high score in Snake cause it might be erased. XD I have to talk to Amir, being sick put my back in my meetings and what not. Amir should start getting in rank pictures for Pokemon and SSBB in the next few days also. We're also getting near the 7 day mark on the forums so some people will be leveling up to blue rank so congrats to those people when they reach their 7th day. I'll keep you posted. YouTube News Obviously, there has been much stir going on in the YT gaming community. If you haven't heard, Chuggaaconroy, a good friend and probably the most popular LPer on YT has been suspended. Likewise, many other popular gamers are being targeted for false copyright claims. I regretfully inform that I too will probably become target and most likely suspended. Fortunately if we fight back, we can get unsuspended but it will be a 10 day wait. If my YT account does get suspended, the forums will continue running and I'll keep you posted. If my YT account does not get unbanned, the forums will continue to run but I will probably retire from YT videos if that is the case. In the meantime, I don't plan uploading the next few days because I want to see where this stuff goes. I'll probably talk to Chugga a bit more too.
